I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I am reminded of a poem that was once sent to me:
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine,
we were younger then.
Steve, we will miss you. Goodbye friend, until we meet again...

I did not personally know Steven, but a mans character is made evident through his children. My friendship with his son Steve leaves no doubt in my mind that Steven and what he stood for will live on forever.
May our heart and sympathy be with you.
