SUBHAS MULLICK Obituary

Mullick, Dr. Subhas, C.
Age 76, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2012 in Ann Arbor, Michigan surrounded by his loving son and daughter-in-law after a valiant fight with congestive heart failure. "Subi", as he was known by colleagues and friends, was born in Ghorakhpur, India on January 23, 1936. In 1960, after graduating from King George's Medical College in Lucknow, India, he and his wife emigrated to London to pursue further training and start a family. He continued to journey across the globe to Boston, MA to pursue a second fellowship training at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital at Harvard University. In 1972, he opened a private practice in General and Vascular Surgery in Lawrence, MA. After years of dedicated service to his patients and colleagues, he retired in the late 1990's. When not working, Dr. Mullick was most likely traveling with his family to a new place, or gazing out at the sunset on Lake Winnipesaukee. He is survived by former wife, Dr. Swadesh Mullick, three children, and six grandchildren.

Dear Ani, Shoki and Monica, I am shocked to hear of this. Your dad was very lose to us and I fondly remember all the times I spent with him in Salem and more recently in Plymouth. He was a part of our family and him and my dad shared such a rare common path ranging from being in the same class from elementary to high school in Gorakhpur, same class in medical school in Lko and then together in a surgical fellowship in London! They were friends for over 70 years. I bet they are enjoying a drink together.

To Shoki, Dilip and entire Mullick family, although I only met Subhas briefly at Shoki's wedding he impressed me as a very kind man. After reading his obituary, he was obviously a very accomplished man that committed his life to helping others. You can be very proud to call him your father, your brother, your family! I too lost my father a few years ago and know exactly what your going through. All I can say is remember the good times, as I'm sure there are many memories to cherish! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time. Take care..Tom Connelly

George and Scooby Do are together and are probably already getting in trouble with their scotch and soda. They had more fun at the lake. We will surely miss both of them. It was time for them to go with such illness. Love you and hope to hook up in N.H. Deanna
