Susan LOWY

LOWY, Susan Age 74, of Sarasota, Florida, on June 16, 2025, from complications following surgery. The daughter of Louis and Edith (Ditta) Lowy, she was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and grew up in Newton. Wife of Robert Harlan; beloved sister of Peter Lowy (Linda) of Brookline; adored aunt of Nina Bann (David) of Wilmington and Erica Lowy Slevin (Owen) of Los Angeles, California. She also leaves her great-nieces, Paige and Lila Bann; and great-nephew Louis Slevin. Cherished stepmother of Christian Segall (Lewis) of Duxbury, she also leaves her grandchildren Scott, Sawyer, and Garnett. Susan was predeceased by her parents. Susan earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston University. She taught middle school German and French in Billerica before moving to Washington, D.C., and subsequently to Sarasota. Susan worked for Goodwill Industries for 25 years, developing training curricula for workforce development initiatives, receiving national recognition for her work.
