Suzanne Louis-Reddick Obituary

LOUIS-REDDICK, Suzanne Yvonne Beloved mother of Yvonne and Christopher Reddick and Kaiya. Louis-Meier found her way over the rainbow on November 7, 2011 in Brooklyn, New York. Suzanne was known for her sparkling personality, giving spirit and kind nature. Being a mother to her children was her greatest joy and crowning achievement. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 7, 1961, Suzanne was the loving daughter of Sally Harrison Louis and her late partner William Buck of Manchester, MA, and John Louis (and his partner Kathy Steeves) of Northwood, NH. Suzy was the dear sister of Robin and her husband Kevin Connolly of Arlington, MA, Becky and her husband Vin Shelton of Newton, MA, and Eric and his wife Therese of North Chelmsford, MA. She was an awesome aunt to Sara and Ava Connolly, Noah and Francisco Shelton, and Michael, Katie and Emily Louis. Suzanne attended Lexington High School. Her artistic talent was evident then and she graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1984. In 1986 she married Lance Reddick and worked as a jewelry designer before becoming a senior designer for Avon Products. Years later she met Karl Meier and brought Kaiya into the world. In 2006, Suzanne got her Masters in Midwifery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and totally embraced her passion when she "caught babies" at Brookdale Hospital and Woodhull in Brooklyn, New York. She was an avid marathon runner and traveler. Of all the places she visited, she loved the grace and beauty of the Grand Canyon and hoped to return someday. Suzy was a wonderful, devoted, energetic, kind and fun mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed dearly. Her kindness lives on in our hearts. The celebration of Suzanne's beautiful life was held in Brooklyn, New York on November 19, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kaiya Dane Louis-Meier, c/o Cambridge Savings Bank, 626 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA 02476.

SUZANNE

I have a special daughter,
Who is one-of-a-kind.
If you have a problem,
A solution she will find!

She leaves her lipstick trademarks
On letters, walls, and mirrors.
I see them left when she goes home,
And, Oops!, out pop the tears.

The love I have for her is
Truly from my heart.
I'm happy when she is with me,
And sad when we're apart.

So, Suz, here is my love for you,
Aglow in it's white light.
It comes with all my energy,
And all my soulful might.

I love you, Mom
