THEODORE FISH Obituary

Fish, Theodore "Teddy" Was the greatest of great super hero's. On the outside, he was a lean mean Menkes fighting machine. On the inside he was a big softie that really loved his Mom, Dad, and occasionally his dog Tuna. He may have only live one year, but he fit in a lifetime of happiness, kisses, and smiles. His eyes sparkled and his dimples melted hearts near and far. He was a social media hotshot with celebrity friends and spent his free time bringing awareness to the terrible disease, Menkes, which took his life on May 5, 2014. But he fought hard- superhero hard. Teddy will be terribly missed by all- clearly, but especially his parents Mary E. (Coffey) Fish and Alexander H. Fish. In addition to his awesome parents, Teddy is survived by his maternal grandparents, Harry (Butch) and Nancy Coffey of Beverly, his paternal grandparents, Gregory and Polly Fish of Scituate, his aunts and uncles, John Coffey and his wife, Amanda of Beverly, Jennifer Koulopoulos and her husband, Craig of Danvers and Amanda Fish of Scituate, MA, three cousins, Mia, Jane and Anne Koulopoulos, his maternal great grandparents, Donald and Kathleen Wilson of Danvers and his paternal great grandparents, James and Joan Fitzpatrick of Scituate. A Funeral Mass to celebrate this hero (greatest ever) will be held at St. Margaret's Church, 672 Hale St., Beverly Farms, Thursday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Teddy Fish Fund by visiting www.superteddyfish.com or mailing a check made out to the "Teddy Fish Fund" to 3 Marshall Court, Beverly, MA 01915. Teddy's family looks forward to helping other superheroes and sidekicks battle obstacles big and small. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.

To Polly, Greg & All of Fish family:

I just heard about your recent loss & would like to express my utmost sympathy. Teddy was absolutely precious! It appears his life, albeit short, was filled with love & joy. I would not have expected any less from Polly & the rest of the Fish clan.

Most sincerely,

May 8, 2014

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometime question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world, seem wonderful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold,
So He picks a rosebud, before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye."
So when a little child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children, Angels are hard to find.

We didn't know Teddy, but just knowing about him has touched our lives forever. Can't get much more superheroic than that! We will always admire your adorable little boy, Alex and Mary, and your own strength in dealing with a situation we can't even begin to imagine and managing to find the positive in it. #Team Teddy forever! God bless you all and give you peace. All of you will be in our prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about your precious little Teddy. My mom is a good friend of his great grandmother, Joan Fitzpatrick, and I used to go to "ballroom dancing" with his grandmother, Polly. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Requiescat in pace, Teddy Fish. The world is a better place because you lived.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
