Fr. Daly was my French prof at Cardinal O'Connell Minor Seminary, 1957-59. He was an effective teacher who took an interest in me and loaned me many volumes from his personal library. I owe him not only my competence in French but my love of the entire range of French literature. For me, he's trtuly unforgettable.

Dear Daly Family

I was watching the Chrism Mass from Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston Tuesday morning when I was surprised to hear the Deacon read Msgr. Thomas J. Daly’s name among the priest who had passed away during the past year. I attended Saint John’s Seminary College from 1979-1982 while “T” was the Dean of the College and went on to the School of Theology until my Ordination in 1986. I remember Father Daly as a model priest, a man of compassion who genuinely reflected Christ to others. His quick wit and great sense of humor was a gift to the Seminary Community. I know that he has touched the lives of many people, especially his past students, myself included.

My sympathy to you on his passing. May Father Daly’s soul rest in peace. Amen

I and the Catholic community of Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ, will offer Mass for the repose of his soul on Wednesday, 13 April May he rest in peace.

Where to begin in expressing my admiration for the man we called "T"... I attended St John's Seminary (St Clement's) when T was the rector. He was the man! A good, Christian, caring man with a terrific sense of humor, tough as nails and full of compassion. We joked about his odd sayings, but here I am, about 30 years later and I remember them all! He taught me a lot about being a good, Christian man and I will be forever grateful. I am so sorry I just now learned of his passing and missed my chance to pay final respects. Lots and lots of good, good memories. My deepest condolences to all of T's family, and my heartfelt thanks for having the opportunity to know such a man... God bless you, T!!!

Msgr. Daly was the ultimate model of a great priest who pleased God in every way. Truly a humble man. He was a dear friend whom I had the privilege of knowing for almost 70 years, and he will be greatly missed.

With sympathy on Fr. Daly's passing from the Burke Family - your old
upstairs neighbors on Ridgewood St. Joan & I reminisced this morning about attending Fr. Tommy's ordination many years ago. He was blessed with a wonderful life. We always remember your mother - she was a lovely person. Joan lives in Hull, Chuck in Illinois and I live in Middleboro. Again our deepest sympathy.

Fr. Daly was a favorite in the Giblin house. Always a sense of humor and quick wit did he possess, but was a warm and compassionate man easily talked to about life. My father was one of his closest friends and he will surely be missed by our family.
