To the family of Tom Flatley,
I was so saddened to learn of the death of Tom. I first met him back in the 1970's when I was looking for someone to handle a work out project for me and Continental Illinois Nat'l. Bank. I developed a deep respect for Tom and his business ethics and hard work. We went on to finance many of Tom's projects over the years. Tom was a personal inspiration to me. He was so proud of his family and all they did. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To The Flatley Family,
Please accept the condolences of the entire Stanton family. My mother and father were humbled just being able to consider your father a fellow warrior in the fight for life.
I will never forget one of your father's most frequent sayings, "tell me what you need".
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We have lost another generous soul. Little did we know we would lose so many wonderful friends in less than a year. When my husband, Joe Joyce, died last July, Tom called to say he would be joining Joe sooner than we think. We were stunned. Tom touched many lives with his quiet generosity. His warm smile and sincere handshake as he would lean into you, will be sorely missed. "May your soul to soar forever more..."

Dear Flatley Family,
There is nothing more that I can add, to what's been said. I know of 1 person who had a very high regard of Mr. Flatley, that would like to express his wishes of gratitude. That person is Victor Faro. Mr. Flatley had a special place in his heart for Victor, that spaned over 35 yrs. Victor will miss that call at 3:00 am Sunday, saying, "the road has washed out... get it fixed before 8:00". Thank you for the many years that you granted Algar Construction to service your Organization.

The Flatley family,
My wife and I send our deepest sympathy. I worked for Mr. Flatley for thirty years in his residential division, and I have great respect and admiration for the man. Mr. Flatley's philosophies of treating others well and fairly, working hard, and aiming to do one's very best to achieve goals, was very evident both in business and in life. He taught me a great deal.

Dear Charlotte &
family:
We seashell girls go WAY back to the Hampton Era. Remember those days so well. Tom has always been in our thoughts. Even the day he showed up in Marlborough MA in 1968 as he bought the land ajacent to us on Hosmer Street, What a surprise to open the door and see him after many years. We shared a cup of coffee and Paul came home and wondered who the cadillac belonged too as he came home from work. My Paul worked for him on that project and through the terrible fire that tried to stop him from building. Kept in touch for awhile. Always family he talked about his Children and you. Such an inspiration he was.
To do so well and build the empire he has done and the Legacy he has left behind. Were with Peg & Ed Darcy in March in Worcester with Mutual Friends, he told me Tom was not well. I will always fondly remember Tom and what he has left in this world. Fondly Rita & Paul Griffin- Marlborough MA

I worked on one of Mr. Flatley's properties for nearly a decade, and I am still impressed by the way it was built and the pride that took to build it. I remember one St. Patrick's Day the Schrafft Center(where I worked) holding a St. Patrick's Day lunch for seniors. It was a very good glimpse into a man's heart and being. Thank you, Mr. Flatley.

It was such an honor and a privilege to work for Mr. Flatley. The education that he gave to so many of us was one that you could never get in any school. His energy and positive attitude was downright contagious. He gave you a chance when you knew nothing. If you worked hard, you learned and earned his trust. It was never about personal gain but about the challenge, the teamwork and bettering the situation. His competitive spirit made work so much fun. Mr. Flatley was one of a kind. He worked harder than anyone yet he would drop whatever he was doing to take a call from his family who we all knew was the most important thing in his life. He was truly a Renaissance man. He was tough when he needed to be, extremely honest and sincere and always the champion for the underdog. Like many I’m sure, there is a hole in my heart that he has left us. Heaven is sure to be an even better place when we get there.
