Tom and I met, literally, in a shared play pen 80 odd years ago. Together with mutual friend, Bobby Lloyd, Gene Lahey, and others, we grew up together, playing street games like Hide and Go Seek, Red Rover, etc. In our teens, we learned how to drink (a lot), double dated, went to Arch Street for Saturday night Midnight Mass, went to court together over a traffic accident--coming home from Nahant after a daylong celebration of our beloved Molson...you get the picture. There's an empty space in my heart from the loss of my oldest friend. Never will forget the slogan we oft quoted: "A good lager makes its own friends". Tom was inarguably my best friend. Ken Burke
