THOMAS KEEFE Obituary

KEEFE, Thomas Edwin Age 73, of Turners Falls, Massachusetts, formerly of Cohasset, Massachusetts, passed away March 22, 2014, after a long illness. He was born December 20, 1940, the son of John E. and Gertrude Dalma Keefe (deceased) in Washington, D.C.. Thomas attended elementary schools in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, New Orleans, Louisiana and Cohasset. He attended Cohasset High School where he lettered in varsity football, basketball and track. He attended the University of Maine. Thomas was a resident of Medfield State Hospital until 2001 at which time he moved to Farren Care Center in Turners Falls where he resided until his death. Thomas is survived by brothers John Keefe of Waltham, Massachusetts, Dr David Keefe of New York City, Stephen Keefe of Annandale, Virginia , and sisters Kathleen Keefe of Hopatcong, New Jersey, Janet Keefe of Danvers, Massachusetts, Diane Keefe of New York City, Elizabeth Keefe of Cohasset, Massachusetts and many nieces and nephews. There will be a service to celebrate Thomas' life at the Vedanta Center, Cohasset, Massachusetts on July 22, 2014 a 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at the Cohasset Cemetery for immediate family members only. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Patient Activities Fund at Farren Care Center, 340 Montague City Road, Turners Falls, Massachusetts 01376.
