Passed peacefully into rest in Nashua, NH on October 10, 2001, Thomas R. Smyth of Hudson, NH and Cambridge, MA. Beloved husband of 49 years to Doris A. (Dean) Smyth. Loving father of Wendy Weaver and her husband A. Dale of Lancaster, PA; James D. and his wife Barbara of Plymouth, NH; Roselyn Jay and her husband Steve of Windham, NH; Emily Quinton and her husband David of Cambridge, MA; Nathaniel C. and his wife Tanya of Odenton, MD. Devoted brother of Nellie M. Smyth of McMurray, PA and the late James D., Nathaniel C., Elizabeth Smyth, Jean Rooney, and Hannah McGoldrick. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. U.S. Navy Veteran, Boston University Alumni. Past-president of Mass Teachers Association, co-founder of Cambridge Fundamental (alternative) H.S., retired schoolteacher, submaster, principal, and headmaster. Active member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Nashua, NH, former elder of First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Cambridge, and lifelong Red Sox fan. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9, Davis Funeral Home, One Lock St., NASHUA, NH. Funeral Service: Saturday, 12:30 PM, First Reformed Presbyterian Church, 53 Antrim St., Cambridge, MA.
