As a young Rookie, fresh out of the Academy, Tom may not have fully realized, by marrying Carol, the rest of us six younger siblings would soon be trailing along, frequently in need of Tom's help with one thing or another.
Tom was so much more than just an in-law; he was my eldest brother, reliable, conscientious, funny, peacemaking, and wise. Tom was also a patient teacher, who taught me to drive his own car until my skills improved sufficiently to pass the driver's test. There is no telling how many of us he provided with similar services. Rare as it may be, when Tom saw need, it was simply his nature to give, no strings attached, whether it was his responsibility or not. Ironically, Tom frequently amused himself with the warning, There is no such thing as a free lunch. Yet, from every angle, he frequently gave free lunches, in many ways, to anyone fortunate enough to be a part of his life. May he rest in peace, and God bless his wonderful soul. For those of us who feel his loss, I pray.

Carol,Greg,Suzanne,& Family,
Our deepest sympathy for your great loss.
Tom was a kind, generous, and amusing brother-in-law. He adored his grandchildren and will truly be missed. I'll never forget the spray he used at my back yard reception. There wasn't an insect in sight for miles. May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Tom's family . What a character he was , with a wit and sense of humor second to none , I still laugh at remembering some of his pranks . I was fortunate enough to work alongside Tom for many years at District 4 . We worked a few tours together in a cruiser and I used to go visit Tom when he was on foot patrol for years in Copley Square , l truly loved his company . To the best of my memory , I last saw Tom in 2016 at a retirement luncheon at Florian Hall .... Godspeed to a good cop , good man , and a legend .
