My deepest sympathy to the Harbert family. It was a privilege to work with Tim at State Street in Boston. For the more than 10 years that I knew him and worked with him in a variey of responsibilities, Tim consistently provided outstanding leadership and support for every individual as well as the entire organization. His intelligence, sense of humor, and consideration were truly admirable and an great example for all.

We send our deepest condolences to Nancy and the children during their time of sorrow and grief. We will fondly remember the times over the past few years that Tim & Nancy have opened their home to our girl's basektball team during AAU competition in MA. Tim's stories at poolside and the cookouts always brought laughter to each of us. Our prayers will be with Nancy and the children to draw strength and courage to see each day through. Tim RIP.

Tim was a wonderful mate who never forgot where he came from even when he got to the top. VP or EVP - made to difference to a warm, caring and hugely amusing man. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Harbert Family,

I hope you can find solace knowing that Tim left his warm imprint on everyone he came across. In the brief time that I met him, he spoke fondly of his family, particularly his children. At first impression, he was so laid back and unpretentious that one would not know he was the successful CEO of a large corporation. Tim will be missed.

Sincerely,

Amelia Malatesta

We met Tim & Nancy while living in England, on Silverdale Ave. in Walton-on-Thames. We became very good friends during the 14 months we lived in Europe. My fondest memory was the wonderful cruise we took on the Club Med II visiting ports in France,& Italy. The highlight of each day was our "happy hour" which consisted of 1 or 2 bottles of champaign which Tim arranged to have waitng for us at 6:00 pm. on the back deck of the boat as well as the wonderful dinner in Portofino.

I was great to have each other to lean on while adjustng to to living in Europe. We lost touch with Tim & Nancy when we moved back to the states. Nancy, I am so shocked to have learned of this very sad news. I pray that God will provide comfort and healing to you, your children and the rest of your family during this very difficult time. May God Bless you all.
