TIMOTHY HORAN Obituary

HORAN, Timothy Joseph Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully, on May 10, 2025, just shy of his Sixtieth birthday. Born on May 16, 1965, in York, Pennsylvania and raised in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Tim was a longtime resident of Framingham, where he spent a lifetime enriching the world around him through art, humor and heartfelt connection. A proud member of the Wellesley High School, Class of 1983, Tim pursued his passion for the arts at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he discovered a deep talent for sculpture and wood carving. He later continued his studies at Boston University, refining his skill and voice as an artist. Over the years, Tim built a fulfilling career that reflected his artistic vision, ultimately focusing on the restoration of antique furniture, breathing new life into pieces with care, precision and love. An avid cyclist and voracious reader, Tim's curiosity and creativity knew no bounds. Whether it was a great piece of music, an intriguing novel or a unique work of art, he delighted in sharing his discoveries with others. He had a special love for live music, always excited to attend concerts and experience the energy of a live performance and as well for classic cinema. Tim had a gift for finding treasures: be it a vintage record, a perfectly chosen book or simply a well-timed joke and sharing them in ways that made those around him feel seen and understood. His quick wit, thoughtful spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Tim cherished his family and friends deeply, always eager to hear about their lives, passions and stories. He proudly displayed the artwork of his then young niece and nephew in his home: a quiet reflection of the love, encouragement and pride he carried for those closest to him. Tim will be remembered not only for the beautiful art he created but also for the beauty he brought to everyday life through kindness, curiosity and connection. Tim is survived by his loving parents, Joseph and Irene (McRann) Horan of Natick, MA; his sisters, Amy Horan and her partner, John Landers of Mashpee, MA and Meaghan (Horan) Walsh and her husband, Steven Walsh of Wilmington, MA; his nephew, Kyle Corda of Cheyenne, WY; and his niece, Kaylie Corda of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by many dear cousins, aunts, uncles and lifelong friends who will miss him deeply. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street, WELLESLEY, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Paul's Church, 502 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, 1200 Centre Street, Boston, MA 02131 in memory of Tim. Online guestbook, at gfdoherty.com George F. You don´t know me. My mother lives at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center. I met Tim while I was here visiting my mother (I live in Atlanta). Each time I came up I tried to talk to Tim. I am here now and found out Tim had passed on. I am so saddened. We shared some great conversations. I am happy that I met him and I am sure he will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Dear Horan Family,

I wanted to extend my heartfelt condolences to you during this incredibly difficult time.

Tim was a truly special person-kind, genuine, and full of quiet strength. He touched so many hearts with his warmth. Whether it was through a shared laugh, a conversation about 48 Hours show or his love for guitars, or simply the way he listened, he had a gift for making those around him feel seen and valued.

His memory will stay with all of us who were lucky enough to know him. The impact he made is lasting, and his spirit will continue to shine.

Please know that my thoughts are with you, and I´m wishing you comfort and peace in the days ahead.

With deepest sympathy,
Hanna Yapikhina
