WYNOTT, Vernon C. Jr. Of Belmont April 17, 2010. Beloved husband of K. Sheila Wynott (Wilmot). Loving father of Vernon C. Wynott III and his wife Linda of W. Bridgewater, Dennis Wynott and his wife Karen of Santa Barbara, CA. and John Wynott and his wife Maryann of Belmont. Grandfather of Vernon IV, Corey, Christian, Patrick, James, Cathy, Kristen and Michael. Brother of Dot McBride and the late Lorraine Heffernan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Rd, BELMONT on Tuesday April 20 at 8:00 Am. Followed by a funeral mass at St Josephs Church, 124 Common Street Belmont at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment private. Mr Wynott was inducted into Belmont High School Athletic Hall of Fame. At Columbia College he was All American, in football and led the nation in kick-off return yardage. He spent 35 years refereeing college football, and many years as a volunteer with the Belmont Recreation Department and as coach with youth sports. He was a Board of Trustee member of the Belmont Savings Bank. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W.II in the Beach Jumper Unit stationed at Little Creek, VA.
