Victor J. BARBATI

BARBATI, Victor J. Of Braintree, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 5, 2023, at the age of 88. Born and raised in Boston, Victor graduated from Brandies Vocational High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Victor retired from the MBTA where he worked as a machinist for over 25 years. In his free time, Victor enjoyed working around his house and yard and was an avid Boston sports fan who could often be found cheering on his favorite team, the New England Patriots. He was an active member of the Randolph Elks, DAV and the VFW, as well as the Randolph High School Football Booster Club. Of all his passions, spending time with his family and friends is what brought him the most joy. A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Victor will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Victor was the husband of the late Kathleen B. (Connolly) Barbati. Loving father of Joseph Barbati of Duxbury, James Barbati and his wife, Kristine of Bridgewater, Mary Teresa Slavinsky and her husband, Stephen, Victor Barbati and his wife, Lorianne of Norwell, John Barbati of Quincy, and the late Peter Barbati. Devoted brother of Carol Smith of Virginia and the late John Barbati, Phyllis Mohoney, Eleanor Fezoco, and Raymond Barbati. Also survived by eight grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, March 10, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (RT. 28), RANDOLPH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11, at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 211 No. Main St., Randolph. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
