I had the honor of getting to know Vincent when he came and stayed at the Homewood Suites for all those months. He was a wonderful man who became like family to me and many others who are employed here at the hotel. He would bring me daisy's every time he came back from an appointment, and he knew I would be there until 3pm on the days I worked. He would come down and sit in what he called his office for a few hours' multiple times a day, which was by the pool where he would say he was being the lifeguard for that time. He was a charming and interesting man who I am glad I got to meet during his brief but special time here in Jacksonville. I am very sad at his passing, but I know that he is no longer in pain and that just the short time he was here was enough for him to touch a lot of people's lives. I will miss him very much, but I will always remember the wonderful conversations and the flowers he always brought me.

So many memories of times spent with Vinnie from college years and beyond. Too many to name. Always with fondness and love.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Vincent when I was staying at the same hotel in JAX. We sat by the pool and chatted in the afternoons - he was so kind and easy to talk to. My husband and other Delta coworkers met with him nearly every day to share breakfast or a drink in the evening. My husband and colleagues were able to visit Vincent in the hospital and spend time with him as he his health declined.
Thank you, Vincent for sharing your stories and time with us and we especially thank you for your service to our country and to the school systems you worked in.
You are missed.
