Wilfred Powers Obituary

Of Everett, November 16, 2001, Wilfred M. "Fred" at 75 years. Beloved husband of the late Silvia M. (Moore) Powers. Loving father of Lynn Ann Powers and Thomas W. Powers, both of Malden, and Wilfred S. Powers of Tewksbury. Loving brother of the late Ernest Powers and the late George D. Powers. Cherished grandfather of Joshua Ilie Powers and Aidan Powers. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held at the J. F. Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, EVERETT, on Tuesday, Nov. 20th at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's memory may be made to Veritas Rumania, Inc., 228 Billings Rd., Quincy, MA 02169. Mr. Powers was a retired Everett Firefighter, member of the Everett Veteran Fireman's Association, a W.W. II Navy Veteran and past Assistant Manager of St. Therese Drill Team.
