William Martin "Marty" DINN

William DINN Obituary

DINN, William Martin "Marty" M.D. M.P.H. Passed away on March 4, 2024, in his home in Fernandina Beach, FL, succumbing to pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born in Boston, MA on May 2, 1944. A Georgetown University Medical School Graduate, 1970, he served in the Army from '71 to '73, stationed at Walter Reed Hospital and the Pentagon. He went on to focus in radiology at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY, moving back to MA in 1977 to practice, specializing in Mammography. Marty moved to GA in '08, loyally serving as a staff radiologist at Fort Stewart until he retired in 2018, finally settling in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Marty is survived by his loving wife, Laura; children: Robbie (Ellie) and Ashley McIntosh, Marty Dinn, Jenna (Caleb) Lyons; grandchildren: Aislin, Foster, and Lawson; former spouse, Rita Dinn, his brothers Jim and Neil Dinn, and his sister Susan Dinn. He was predeceased by his parents, James M. and Justina F. Dinn, his brother Justin Dinn, and his sisters-in-law Agnes Dinn and Edna Dinn.

Marty will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of Jacksonville on May 2, 2024.
