I had the honor of serving with Bill for many years on the Dana Hall Board of Trustees. I respected and admired him so much. He had such deep professional expertise, and such a strong character and sense of ethics--if the world had lots more people like Bill, it would be a much better place. Just as importantly, he always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye. I would bump into him pretty frequently at the Linden Store. We'd share a handshake, a quick chat, and a laugh--and it would make my day. He made such a difference in terms of the work he did and the way he lived. In the spirit of the construction business, when they made him, they broke the mold. He was truly one-of-a-kind.

Sending love and prayers of comfort. May the love of friends and family support and carry you through this sorrow. Your father not only built beautiful buildings, but beautiful people in his relationships with his children and wife. We love you dear Foley family. Thank you for years of dear friendship.

Bill Foley was always a professional and treated people the way you would want to be treated. He is one of the good ones! I knew Bill from my years working at Tenacre as their Director of Technology. He did everything for Tenacre and volunteered so much of his time. I will remember him smiling when he knew we were on the last section of those construction meetings.

I have been out of Tenacre for 3+ years, but I will be at his service tomorrow, because Bill always had time for me. He enjoyed having Tenacre lunches in the building he helped get constructed. We talked a lot during those lunches and in the parking lot, he almost bought my house to knock it down! He told to call him, if I ever wanted to sell. He wanted the prime 2 acres of land in the middle of Natick to build a few houses.

My condolences to your entire family. Rest In Peace.

Bill was a close friend for over twenty-five years.
He could never do enough for those people who were part of his life.
Family was always first, then friends, then anyone needing help. And there were lots and lots of people in each category.
He was a great example of the right way to live.
Bill loved his work. During a working life spanning a half century, he created Masterpiece after Masterpiece. Just ask anyone living in one.
I thank God we had Bill for as long as we did even though it wasn´t nearly long enough.

Joe and I were very fortunate to have gotten to know Bill and a few members of the Family during our time in business. It was always a pleasure to hear his voice on the other end of the phone. We are very much saddened by his sudden passing . He will certainly be missed by so many people as he touched so many lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bill was so instrumental to everything we did at Tenacre during my tenure on the Board. He was a powerhouse! Heather and Steve: thinking of you and your family.

We love Bill and will miss him. He helped us build our dream house in Belmont, a place where we´ve raised our children and created lifetimes of memories. Whenever we had something pop up with the house, Bill showed up right away and helped set things right. And once there, he always had a story to share. We send our condolences and our prayers to the entire Foley family!

Such a loss! Bill with his indefatigable work ethic, cute wry smile and sense of humor and tender heart. I thoroughly enjoyed any time I spent with him. He was genuinely interested in what was going on in the lives of those around him. I love picturing him at the dinner table surrounded by Mary Anne, his kids and grandkids. Be sure to keep a place set for him. Love you all so much! Amie

Mary Ann:

Bill was a wonderful colleague and community member but a better friend. I know that his legacy lives on in so many ways: his children; his grandchildren, in every building at Tenacre. But for Leslie and me, we think of him every day; if not for him, we would not have spent the last thirty years on Cartwright Road. When I tell people that we did the entire deal by simply shaking hands, they cannot believe it. That was Bill. Someone you could trust and trusted others. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and you.

Over the past 40 years, Bill and I became close friends. Bill was strong, intelligent, confident, and wise. He was always working, teaching, and helping others. He was a mentor to countless people and gave selflessly to the so many schools and organizations that he cared about. Bill was generous, yet careful with others money. We would often sit and talk into the night, because he didn´t seem to need much sleep. Bill went through some tough times and worked his way up to his successful position. And if you know Bill, he did work! Most importantly, Bill cared. This was the part of him I liked best. He had a heart, a big heart. Bill was generous, honest, fair, and kind. He was genuinely a great human being in so many ways. As one of Bill´s best friends said, and I agree; Bill was happiest when he was with Mary Anne at his vacation home watching their children and all the grand-kids just hanging out and having fun. He laughed about all the food twenty-some people could eat. Bill loved his family so much and spoke of them all the time. His priorities were in order with family and friends coming before anything else. Bill was a mentor, friend, and family to me. I will be forever grateful for his friendship and all that he had done for me. He will be missed by so many. I thank you and love you, Bill. My heart and prayers go out to Bill and his family. God bless. Dario
