WILLIAM MCDONOUGH Obituary

McDONOUGH, William C. Age 68, of Canton, formerly of Roslindale and Dorchester, died peacefully on January 18, 2018. Beloved husband of 45 years to Jean C. McDonough (Fachy). Devoted brother of Ann Lawrence of East Boston, the late Grace McDonough, Robert McDonough, Richard McDonough, Louise Michlich, Thomas McDonough, and Marie McDonough. Loving brother-in-law of Janet Morrison of Mason, N.H., John Fachy of Quincy, and Judy Paglia of Mason, N.H. Bill is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Bill worked for many years at State Street Bank in management and often spoke of the Boston-famous clients he met. After Bill retired, he spent many hours pursuing his passion for dogs, art and photography. He started a dog walking business and was often seen at the Sharon Dog Park, sometimes two to three times in the same day, with different dogs. Bill was often commissioned to create murals, portraits and landscapes. He was a past member of the Canton Art Association and former President of the West Roxbury Art Association. His paintings have adorned the halls of the Canton City Hall and the Canton Public Library through the Canton Art Association. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Brook Meadow Country Club in Canton.

Visiting hours at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, CANTON, MA on Tuesday, January 23, from 4-8 PM. Relatives are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Wednesday, January 24, in St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington Street, Canton, MA at 10 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to the "Friends of the Canton Library," 786 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021 or online at https://library.canton.ma.us//187/Friends-of-the-library.
