Was just doing some research about BHA one thing after another and I come to find out Bill had passed away in 2019.
I don´t remember not knowing Bill the many times my Family had to meet with him for something I had done or got blamed for doing in Old Colony. I never felt a bad vibe from him he was always stern and calm but also very empathetic.
He attempted to help me many times through my rough journey to Adulthood. I just wasn´t ready for the assistance.
The last time I seen him I was doing horribly and embarrassed about my state. I walked by him while he was getting into his truck in front of the house we made eye contact I wish I had said hello.
I´m doing well today and I take no credit. The credit belongs to great people like Bill who just know how to make the World a better place.

I did not know personally know Mr. McGonGle, but because I, too, am a McGonagle, I always tried to follow his involvement with the BHA when his name would appear in a column in one of the local newspapers. One my time will come day I will meet him. I will then try my very best to thank him for all he has done for the people he has so unselfishly helped. It seems to me that this world would be a better place if only it had more Bill McGonagles

I want to say thank you to the McGonagle family
For sharing Bill with the rest of the world
I met Bill over 25 years ago, when I was a member of the Franklin field task force
Bill was there for the good times, Bad times, sad times, always doing whatever it took
From 1 side of Boston to the other side, and he took the time to hear your story, to know the people in the communities
And because of Bill coming up in public housing, he made sure BHA residents was always treated with respect
I thank God for Bill McGonagle, showing the world the you can be a good, hard working, respectful and kind, regardless of race man.

McGonagle Family. We at the Mary Ellen McCormack are at a lost for words with the passing of your husband your dad and the grandfather of your children.. Bill was a remarkable man who did his job and kepted a tight ship when it came to BHA. He was a man who was very respectful to everyone and very friendly.. He always made everyone smile and treated you like you were his family and in reality we all were his family he devoted his time to listen to everyone and he always gave you suggestions of what to do.. He had always stated my door is always open at work and I am only a phone call away. You can't ask for a tremendous man as your dad was. Our hearts are broken as much as all of you are with the passing of Bill. He has done alot for all BHA community and he always had an ear to listen to your problems and helped to solve it.. Bill will be missed very much so by everyone that new him especially all of you. His legacy will live on threw the lives he has touched.. We will truly miss Bill McGonagall and keep him in our hearts forever
