WILLIAM P. "BILL" SULLIVAN

1928 - 2021

SULLIVAN, William P. "Bill" Age 92 of Mashpee, formerly of Cambridge and Belmont, MA passed away peacefully at home on July 26, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia A. (Stinehart) Sullivan, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Bill was born on August 29, 1928, to the late Patrick Joseph, and Ruth (Donovan) Sullivan. He was raised in Cambridge, MA and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Following his time in the service, Bill began his lifetime career as a Cambridge firefighter, and was dedicated to his position until his retirement. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus. Bill is survived by his children, Robert Sullivan (Anna), of Adairsville, GA, Paul Sullivan (Mary), of Brockton, MA, Moira Sullivan of Watertown, MA, Mayleen Kelley (Stephen), of N. Chelmsford, MA; Daniel Sullivan (Jana), of Hingham, MA, and Patricia McNulty (Paul), of Powder Springs, GA; his loving companion Linda Agen, of Mashpee, MA; his daughter-in-law MaryAnn Sullivan of Montpelier, VT; his sisters, Patricia West of Hanover, MA, and Barbara Sullivan, of Cambridge, MA; as well as a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he was the very Proud Papa of. Bill was preceded in death by his son, William Sullivan, his brother Robert Sullivan, and sister Marilyn Doyon. A visitation will be held at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte. 151), MASHPEE on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 5 Job's Fishing Rd., Mashpee on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National cemetery, in Bourne at 1:15 pm.
