Dear Hockings,

I was so saddened upon hearing the news of Ann's passing. Your mother took me in when I needed shelter, and treated me like one of her own sons. You have no idea how much my time with your family has impacted my life. With your mother's help, I learned how to be a friend and more importantly how to become a good man. She always preached accountability to me and constantly reminded me that no one can take your honor or faith. She was truly a very inspirational, integral part of my existence, as all of you were and continue to be.
