I had the pleasure of caring for Arthur when he was in the hospital up in Boston. I was a nursing student and he was the most influential patient I had ever met. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think of him. In fact, I've written a 15 page paper on how he affected my life. Before I left after only knowing him a brief 8 hours, he told me to not let the profession make me jaded. He wanted me to remain the vibrant and spunky girl he met back in October of 2009. And I want to let you know Arthur, that I remember what you told me every time I walk into the hospital. Each patient becomes a possibility for me to learn and to hear some of life's greatest lessons from. Thank you for teaching me how to look at life. I will never forget you.

Cores Family,
Arthur - my cousin - my forever friend - my childhood sweetheart. We ran away to the playground when we were little and he was a part of my Sweet Sixteen. He also took me to my first concert, watched my kids grow up, and took part in their Mitzvahs. Arthur was always loving and fun to be around. I was always proud of him and his accomplishments. His personality just shined as he possessed a special and unique demeanor. I am grateful that we were such a big part of each other's lives. We will miss him very much and keep him close in our hearts forever.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Arthurs passing. We were very close friends in high school. We shared many great times and some very sad times including the passing of his mother and my father. My fondest memory was riding around in his mothers new car...me in the middle and Arthur and Aaron at each of my sides...I was a lucky girl!

To Michelle, Steven, John and all of Arthur's extended family -
I knew Arthur in high school..mostly memories of spending time with friends, taking a Judo class, singing 'Turn the Beat Around' while we headed for the Cape on a sunny day, and avoiding school by going to IHOPs. Arthur was never without a smile, a laugh or a song.

I remember once in high school Jeff Simmons, Arthur, Steven and I all drove up for the day to Orchard Beach, and how Arthur had entertained us with his singing of Elton John's "Honky Cat" and Paul Simon's "Kodachrome". His voice was so infectious it was as if the artists themselves were standing in the room. And, in his day from my recollection Arthur was probably the friendliest younger brother of a good friend I could have ever known-and it seems as if the Arthur of almost thirty-seven years ago is the same personna he was when he passed away.
My condolences to Michelle and Steve, because I know that two losses of close family in a short time is not at all easy to cope with. May no added suffering find its way to your family in the times which follow.

Dear John,
Jim's and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Although I only met Arthur twice, at Cape Cod, and in Boston, his exuberance and love for life made a lasting impression on me. What an incredible survivor he was, with that amazing zest for life. A true inspiration for us all!

Arthur was my Brookline High classmate, and he was as sweet as could be. He was always 'Arthur Cores," never "Arthur. ~~smiles!! I would think of him from time to time over the years and I'm glad he found love and many other kinds of success. 52 is waay to young, but, for those four short high school years, I was glad to have known him. He was always kind. Until we meet again, Arthur Cores ... . My sympathies to your spouse, your sister Michelle, and your extended family. Deborah Malick

As a former Boston Market employee of 12 years, I convey my deep condolences to the family. Although I did not know Mr. Cores, I express profound appreciation for his business innovation. As a single mother, Boston Market provided many years of security and happiness for my son and I.
Mr. Cores' dedication to his business was the cause of untold fulfillment for many people. His family is surely proud of him and I will always be grateful for his achievements.

Remembering the times we have shared...

I spent a significant amount of my adolescent and teenage years at the Cores' household. What I remember most about Arthur was his optimism, his zest for life, and his singing :) He loved to sing. I feel fortunate and very grateful to have been touched by the special gifts of joy, humor and kindness only Arthur could give. My deepest sympathies to his family.
