Daniel J. "Sonny" Foye Sr.

FOYE Daniel J. Sr. “Sonny” of Brockton formerly of South Boston passed away peacefully at home under the loving care of his beloved wife of 50 years and his faithful dog “Trooper”, June 17, 2014 at the age of 71. He was Born in Boston grew up in South Boston and has lived in Brockton for the past 35 years. He worked for the US Postal Service at the South Postal Annex for over 50 years. “Sonny” was an enthusiastic baseball fan but his greatest joy came from his family, spending time with his grandchildren and watching them participate in their various activities. He will be fondly remembered by those who had the opportunity to call him a friend. Beloved husband of 50 years to Theresa D. (Kogut) Foye. Loving father of Cathy Blacker and her husband Richard of Raynham, Patty Foye of Brockton, Tina Foye of Brockton, April Troxell and her husband John Jr. of Brockton and Daniel J. Foye, Jr. and his wife Meredith of Lakeville. Dear grandfather of Allycia, Justin and Joshua Colamaria, Kylie Blacker, Joseph and Jessica Troxell and Mason and Madison Foye. Devoted brother of Frank Foye of Norwood, the late Dolly Tirrell and Marie Jacabatis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his dear friends. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin Street (Rte. 37), HOLBROOK until 8:00 A.M Friday followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Burial will take place in Gethsemane Cemetery, Boston.
