Edward Duffy Obituary

retired detective in the Boston Police Department, of Dorchester passed away peacefully on July 7, 2021 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Dolores A. "Doe" (Deegan) Duffy. Loving father of Monica A. Norris and her husband Thomas of Milford, CT, Kathleen Duffy of Dorchester, Edward J. Duffy Jr. and his wife Janice of Canton, Patrick J. Duffy and his wife Kathleen of Scituate, and Arthur X. Duffy and his wife Kathleen of Canton. Cherished grandfather of Eileen, Matthew, Michael, Amanda, Teddy, Ryan, Conor, Megan, Micaela, Jimmy, and Sean; and great grandchildren, Madison and Finley. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Annie, sister Marion, brother Jack, and his beloved granddaughter Catelyn. Also survived by his loving sisters Nancy, Nellie, and Dotty. Edward was a proud WWII Veteran serving in the United States Navy. Visiting hours in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER, Monday from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church, NEPONSET, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, 360 E. 10th Avenue, Suite 201, Eugene, Oregon 97401. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
