I have an autistic daughter,and wanted to attend so badly,however It was unfortunate due to the circumstances.
I want to say I as myself and Scott Gillespie...knew the McGuire family .
Unfortunately Scotty G was there with the holy Spirit- he loved you all.!!!!!!
May the Great God ,deliver him straight way to mom and dad ,and to Jesus.!!!

There should be a statue of Eddie in Post Office Square. It was an honor to have worked beside him and seen first hand the positive impact his quick smile, kind words and ridiculous stories had on people. God has a new favorite bartender in Heaven, rest in peace.

My heart broke in a million pieces when I heard the news of Eddie's passing. Bev, I am so sorry that you and your family have experienced this great loss. I adored Eddie. He always managed to make a bad day better with his wit and great attitude. He took care of everyone. A true gem. I have not seen him in years but I feel like it was only yesterday that I last saw him. God Bless you and may you find comfort in wonderful memories and love from friends and family.

I just want to say how sad I am for your loss. I have known Eddie for over 30 years. He was the first person I met when I started at the Old Meridian Hotel. He bought me my first farewell drink when I entered the service and was the first person I looked up when I came back. Years later I found myself running the building next store to the hotel and we rekindled our friendship. He was a great friend and I feel blessed to have had him in my life. Afternoons with Eddie at the bar after work was a must. Heaven just got a lot funnier and a whole lot louder. God bless all of you...

My late husband Richard McDonald met Eddie as patron and bartender at the Julien Bar and soon became good friends. They shared a love of dancing, old westerns and great movies of the past.
Once having met Eddie he would never be forgotten. He never will. May each day bring some small joy, a happy memory, a moment of peace and a measure of healing to his family.

My deepest condolences. I worked with Eddie for years at the Langham Hotel. He was a favorite coworker. Always a gentleman, quick with a joke and told the most amazing stories, that he would have everyone crying with tears of laughter. From the short time I knew and had met Eddie, I can understand all the tributes that have been coming in for Eddie, I know that they can't take away the pain and sadness that you are all feeling today, but at some point you will want to sit down at read all the cards and emails that friends and families have written about Eddie!! If you look in the dictionary under FRIEND, Eddie's picture is there. Thanks for the laughs the trouble we got into, the travel we did and the life long friendship. My life was blessed by having Eddie as a friend, my entire life. He was the king of Ping pong, pool and he is the only lefty Batter in boys club history to hit that home run in the boy's club yard.
