I was searching for the service details of one of my patient's and I happened to catch the phrase, ".... After a long struggle with addiction." It is the same disease that my patient died of. I have been in the business of battling this disease for long time and am still dismayed at the stigma and shame attached to this chronic, progressive and terminal illness. I just wanted to thank you for calling it what it is. I did not know Eric but in some ways I did. I think he would have appreciated the way you wrote of his life and death. Thank you for your honesty.

Dear Paula & Family, I was so shocked & saddened to hear of your son, Eric's passing! I hope he has now found some peace & is at rest. You know he had some great people waiting to greet him in heaven! Your Dad, Dave and of course good old Uncle Ray! Paula, if there is anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to call me! Think of Eric as your personal guardian angel now. Take care of yourself & each other. With love & friendship....❤

To all of our Eric's family and friends who so graciously helped support his family through this very sad time we thank you and are forever indebted to the generosity and kindness you have shown to us. It is a testament to the kind of person Eric was. Thank you
