Justine,
I am saddened and sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I had only found out of his passing this past month. I always enjoyed talking to Gerry when I lived with my dad. He was a great, warm, friendly man and I enjoyed his company. I miss him. You and your family are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Jim Maffei, Jr.

Dear Gerry,
Old friend from first grade on. Though we have not seen each other much in recent years, yours is a valued friendship full of happy memories. When I heard of your passing, I shared some stories with my wife of adventures of our youth. Fellow schoolmate, fellow member of the Aces, may God welcome you with open arms. May you rest in eternal peace.

Taryn,
I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your father when Justine called me at my apartment. The last time I saw your father was about 6 years ago when he came in my office. He was a funny and great man. I often think of the time we saw Michael Feinstein at Berklee and your father was there looking very dapper in his brown paisley velvet sport jacket. My thoughts are with you and your sisters.
