SCOTT Deaconess Jacqueline Lenore (Garner) Scott was born in Brunswick, Georgia on April 27, 1942 to the late Jackson and Lydia Mae (Gambles) Garner. She was the fifth of ten children. She was affectionately known as "Pat" by family, "Jackie" by friends or "Ms. Scott" to many of her students. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Jackie is preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her sister Mary Jameson and brothers Deacon Raymond Jones and Rev. Richard Garner. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons, Arthur L. and Jamal G. Scott; grandchildren, Jhada Marie, Rachael and Jamal, Jr.; one sister, Catherine (Willard) Hardin; four four brothers, James(Catherine) Garner, Deacon Randall (Naomi) Garner, Robert(Birdie) Gambles, Deacon Ronald (Carla) Garner ; two sister-in-laws, Lydia Garner, Mary Scott (John) Williams; three brother-in-laws, Richard Levant, Jesse Levant and Lawrence Scott; best friend, neighbor and sister, Virginia Beal and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church family. There will be a Wake on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 155 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121 where a Viewing will be also held on Saturday, September 1, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O'clock.
