SULLIVAN Joanne M. "Jody" of South Boston passed away suddenly on April 7, 2018. Beloved wife of Ricky J. DeBellis. Devoted mother of Bailey E. DeBellis. Cherished daughter of Joanne M. Sullivan and Martin B. Sullivan and his wife Dorothy Sullivan. Dear sister of Martin B. Sullivan III, his wife Doreen, Patrick M. Sullivan, his wife Jeanne, Patricia A. Conley, her husband Daniel, and Pamela J. Sullivan, her husband Mark Lane. Loving niece of Loving niece of Robert "Butchie" Fennessy, Jake Fennessy, and the late Patricia Fennessy Marino." Cherished aunt of Rachel, Neil, Julianne, Aaron, Rachael, Marty, Evan, Olivia, Michael, Alexandra, Clare, Miles, Jake, Wes and Vaeda. Also survived by Michael Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan and his wife Susan, Michelle and Keith Newcomb and many other loving relatives and friends. Visiting hours in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass in St. Monica Church, 331 Old Colony Ave South Boston on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend both services. Intermet will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jody's memory can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Evelyn H. I came to this family from 1,000 miles and several light years away. Never imagined I would come to love them all so much. Jody, especially. All she had to do was walk into a room, and it was immediately brightened. Her infectious smile and larger-than-life laugh could pull you up from just about any dark place. And she knew she was doing that. It seemed like all she ever wanted to do was to make others happy. I will miss her so, so much.
