Kevin P. Curry

1942 - 2023

Kevin P. Curry died peacefully on October 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was born on November 4, 1942, to Paul and Catherine Curry in Brighton, MA, where he and his late sister, Kathleen Curry, were raised.

He was a 1960 graduate of Boston English High School, Boston College class of '64, and Suffolk Law School class of '67. Following graduation from Suffolk Law, he began his 50 plus year legal career. He made a living as a trial attorney in civil, criminal, real estate, business and family litigation. He won jury and non-jury cases in state, federal, land and probate court and took well over a hundred cases to trial.

Above all things, Kevin loved his family. He would always say that meeting and subsequently marrying his wife, Diane, was truly the best thing that ever happened to him. He and Diane were residents of Winchester for over 45 years where they raised their two sons, Sean and Brian. He loved coaching both sons in various sports, but most enjoyed his time as little league head coach of the Dodgers.

He is survived by his wife Diane, his son Sean, daughter-in-law Aly, and their three children, Gannon, Ryan, and Meila of Mt. Pleasant, SC and his son Brian, daughter-in-law Vanessa, and their two daughters, Sloan and Claire of Reading, MA, his beloved brother-in-law Matthew Hinzpeter and his wife Doreen Catanio of River Vale, NJ, his nephew Matthew Hinzpeter and his wife Claudia, and their son Matthew of Norwood, NJ, his cousins Kathleen Kelsh of Garden City, NY and Eileen Fitzpatrick of Prairie Village, KS and many other relatives, close friends, work associates and clients. As the saying goes, at the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought but what we built, and Kevin built something great. Kevin will be missed by many, but we can rejoice in a life well lived, filled with love, beautiful memories and a whole lot of laughs and one-liners.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Saint Columbkille Parish, 321 Market Street, Brighton, MA 02135 followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM at a nearby restaurant.
