Leo McDermott Obituary

Leo F McDermott Jr. of South Boston passed away on April 19, 2022. Loving son of the late Claire Anne (Linehan) and Leo F McDermott Sr. Devoted brother of Maureen Lee and her husband Brian of Plymouth and the late Donna Itri, Claire Purcell and Kathy McDermott. Brother-in-law of Anthony Itri of Dennis and Donald Purcell of South Boston. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and his roommate and niece Sheila Litif. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home 146 Dorchester Street South Boston on Wednesday April 27th from 900-1030am. Followed by Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church 615 East Fourth Street South Boston at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited. USMC Veteran. Longtime employee of the Boston Public Library. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Leo may be made to Gavin Foundation 675 East Fourth Street South Boston MA 02127
