Martin J. Nee

NEE Martin J. of South Boston, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (Casey) Nee. Loving son of the late Bartley and Bridget (Mannion) Nee of Rosmuc, County Galway, Ireland. Cherished brother of Thomas Nee of South Boston, Peter "Frankie" Nee of Florida, and the late Mary Boyle and Cecelia Nee. Martin played a large role in the lives of his many loving nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Martin was a proud retired Boston Firefighter for Rescue Company 1, as well as a proud longtime member of both the Castle Island Association and the Thomas J. Fitzgerald Post. Late Veteran US Navy, WWII. Visiting hours in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, South Boston, on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth Street South Boston, on Monday at 10:00AM. Interment, New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend all services.
