CLARKE Matthew J., of Westwood, died suddenly September 26th, 2017. Beloved Son of Phyllis K. (Hemmer) Clarke of Westwood and the late William F. Clarke. Loving Brother of Diana Clarke and her Husband Sly of Richmond, ME, Michael Clarke and his Wife Betsy of Carver, MA, Philip Clarke and his Wife Sheila of Reading, MA & the late Katherine Clarke. Cherished Uncle to Julia, Martin, Lauren, Katherine, Maxwell, & Harrison and Great Uncle to Kaylee. Mr. Clarke was a long time Boston Public School employee & enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending his free time with his Nieces & Nephews. Services & interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association: donatenow.heart.org

Hello Clarke family. While I was in HS I worked with Matt at the Westwood Glen during the summers. He was much older but was always very kind and helpful to me. He loved to joke and laugh and was never afraid to show it. I'm very sad and sorry for your your loss. Peace, John Lehmann
