Maureen Hannah White

Of West Roxbury, Harwichport and Pompano Beach, FL sadly and unexpectedly, passed away on April 16, 2022, at the age of 80. A lifelong resident of West Roxbury, MA, Maureen was the only daughter of the late Rita (Sullivan) Shea and Charles J. Shea Sr. (BPD). Beloved wife of Robert C. White. Loving and devoted mom to Tammy (MacAulay) Jones and her husband Robert (MFD) of Medford, MA. Cherished Nana to Declan, Coleman and Nicky Jones of Medford, MA. Dear sister of the late Charles J. Shea Jr. and Kevin C. Shea and his late husband Ron Ryan of West Roxbury. Lovingly survived by many dear friends including best friends of 65 years Janet Doyle of CA, Jan Robinson and Betty Bernner of West Roxbury. Maureen was a proud member of the first graduating class of St. Theresa's School in West Roxbury, a member of the pioneer classes at Fontbonne Academy in Milton, MA and Aquinas Jr. College. Maureen was an outstanding typist working in many fields including the Boston Army Base, Boston Hebrew Rehab Center and lastly retiring from Boston Edison. Maureen's family want to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to all her doctors, nurses and caretakers, especially to the staff on 9 west at the Shapiro building and her hero Dr. Sobieszczyk. Funeral from William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, Monday, April 25th at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 11:30am.
