Pat, you were a great guy, friend, and neighbor. I always enjoyed talking to you. Carole and I always looked forward to going across the street to have a wonderful time at the Sullivans. Rest in peace, my friend. I'm sure that you and Joan and Carole are together with Our Lord. Love to all.

I first met Pat when he was among the city leaders fighting to protect city services before and after the passage of Proposition 2 1/2. He was a compelling advocate for public safety and for firefighters in particular. And during one of several fires on our street, he brought out a kitten from an upper story. I also remember him and his wife dancing at one of the city inaugurals. He's an inspiration.

To the Sullivan family,
On behalf of my family please accept my deepest sympathy. Pat was a great neighbor and friend, he spent a lifetime helping others. I have very fond memories of trip I took with him to celebrate the 100th birthday of a nun who came from my village in Ireland, I was Mayor at the time, he came to City Hall and picked me up and off we went to Waltham.. Pat was always kind and compassionate an exceptional Firefighter and a proud citizen of Somerville. He will be truly missed.

To the Sullivan Family,
On behalf of my family, I would like to express my sympathy for your loss. An Irish gentleman with a love for his family and all things Irish. His love and passion for all things Irish have carried down to his children and grandchildren evidenced by their musical abilities. Pat was one of the first people to welcome me into the Kevin Barry Irish American Pipe Band. His enjoyment and ability to play his bagpipes was infectious. He will be missed but that smile will live on. May your memories warm you and bring you comfort.

Dear Cousin Joan and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll always remember Cousin Buddy as kind, gentle, happy and loving. He always gave so much of himself to everyone and oh, how he loved His family. Days will be dimmer as His smile no longer helps the Sun, but Heaven is now more brilliant. I am sincerely with much love,
