To the Cloherty Family,
Our thoughts are with you tonight, as we have plenty of time to grieve alone. "Tom", as we affectionately called him, touched our lives in so many ways. With his stories, we were there, when he spoke of Ireland, we heard the river Shannon. He was happiest working on a campaign. His tongue and cheek wit, while working on Matt's campaign, gave us many laughes.
So on this day of sorrow, I find myself a better person, only because I new "Tommy." Requescat in Pace, my friend, you will be missed.

To The Cloherty Family, your father and grandfather was a great person and we will truly miss him. He was a wealth of knowledge and had great stories that he told about all of you. He was so proud of all of you. He was a true politician even though he never ran for office but was always there to help make it work. With our deepest sympathy, he will be missed

Growing up and having Sunday dinners at our cousins the Clohertys' with all the laughter and fun were wonderful memories that are treasured. The best of those times were sitting around the dining room table, all us kids listening to Tom tell stories with his twinkling wit. He would have even us kids laughing so hard that on more than one occassion milk would be seen dribbling out of our noses. Love and peace to you all as you remember and celebrate Tom

Sean, Tommy, Eileen, Kathy and Dottie,
I don't even have words to express how sad I am about your Dad. There are so many memories from years gone by that he, and all of you are part of.....some of the most cherished times in my life that I remember like yesterday (especially who would be the "chosen" neighborhood child/children of the day to go help out at the store). We had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun! He was a fun loving, special man! I wish I could be there for the services. I'm so sorry I will have to miss them. Sending love and big hugs to all of you from FLA at this very difficult time in your lives. XOXO

Dear Cloherty Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on Tom's passing. He was such a good friend and was always so good to me. He so loved politics and being in the thick of a campaign. I loved his irreverent sense of humor and the twinkle in his eye whenever he told one of his "stories from the trail." He was a true original and I will always keep him in my heart. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers and that I will miss him greatly.

To The Cloherty Family
I will remember you father Tom as a man who loved life, anything Irish, food in general but especially roast beef, politics, people, cards, and most important, his children who he loved very much. I remember Tom who loved to eat and the wonderful dinners at the Cloherty home with all the conversation and people coming in and out the door all day long. . I remember the trip we took to Ireland with Fr. Dan Finn. He viewed everything in the same enjoyment as a child opening Christmas presents. After visiting his parent’s birthplace in Galway, it was hard for him to get on the plane to return home.
I remember Tom who would love to talk politics all night long, and had an opinion on the merits, good or bad of every politician. Tom was a proud man who enjoyed his time on this earth. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Cloherty Family,
I hope that you all can take some comfort in how proud your Dad was of all of you and how happy you have made him.
My family remembers him as the "donut man" and your Dad got a kick out of that. He would come by to talk politics on Saturday mornings and he knew that to get Kevin's full attention he would need to pacify the kids...therefore the donuts! They so looked forward to his visits.
So sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will miss him too.
