IRA ROSS WRIGHT III Ira Ross Wright III passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at the age of 83. It was at this moment, he was reunited with Judy, his wife of 53 years, who preceded him in death 7 years ago. Ross was born in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Aurora High School in 1955. He enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1959 from San Diego where he hitch-hiked all the way home to Aurora, Colorado. In his Navy days he spent a year in the Phillipine Islands and loved to tell stories about it. After the Navy he joined the Aurora Fire Department. Four years later, Ross left the Fire Department to enroll in the University of Denver where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Judy. They purchased an accounting practice in Granby, Colorado in 1967. Ross had many hobbies. He loved to hunt and fish. We are forever grateful. A special thank you to the caregivers from Comfort Keepers, especially Deb who made our dad's last month a blessing. To Ross's neighbors on Azul Way, thank you for making our Dad and Cowboy part of your lives. He loved shooting the breeze with ya. Ross was a true gentleman. He was generous, respected and loved by his family and friends. Funeral Services will be private at the family's request. In lieu of flowers please donate to any animal shelter in Cowboy's name.
