Donna Shanahan Obituary

Donna Shanahan, 84, passed away on September 28, 2025 in Eagle, ID. She was born on February 14, 1941, in Fort Benton, Montana, and spent most of her early life in Bozeman, Montana, raising her two sons. Later residing in Scottsdale, Arizona and Bigfork, Montana.

Donna attended MSU, earning her degree in Interior Design-a passion that she carried throughout her life. Her natural eye for beauty and design could be seen not only in her work but in her love for hosting and cooking.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Baarson; her beloved son, Patrick Shanahan; and her cherished granddaughters, Heather Holzer and Marissa Vogel. Donna also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Corbin, Cordell, and Coyer Holzer, and Lennon Vogel who brought her endless joy.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Shanahan, whom she now joins in eternal peace.

Donna's life was a reflection of poise, creativity, and love. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her artistic spirit, and her unwavering devotion to family.
