Kenneth McLees Obituary

Kenneth Lee McLees, 91, of Deer Park, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. Born in Madison Valley, Montana, on July 22, 1934, Kenneth spent most of his life in Manhattan, Montana, where he raised his family. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. After returning home, he married his beloved wife, Shirley, and dedicated his life to hard work and raising their six children.

Throughout his life, Ken worked a variety of interesting jobs, including on the railroad, as a watchmaker, plumber, and electrician. He was an active coach for his kids' Little League Baseball team and was well-known for his passion for gardening, woodworking, reloading ammunition, and collecting firearms. Always tinkering and teaching, Ken was a man of quiet faith. He professed Jesus Christ as his Savior and lived out his beliefs with humility and strength.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Shirley; his brother, Willis; his son, Curtis; his daughter; Ramona Gene; and his great-grandson, Ethan. He is survived by his brother, Morris; his children, Sheree Postma, Laura (Michael) Kuester, Mark (Sandy) McLees, Mike (Michelle) McLees, Kathy (Kurt) Tuininga, and Jackson McLees; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Ken will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, his quiet strength, and his love for life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
