Michael Bulluss Obituary

Michael J. Bulluss passed away at 3:35 a.m., May 29, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends and went peacefully in his sleep.

Mike was born August 19, 1960, in New Haven, Connecticut, to parents John and Helen Bulluss. He attended school in Southington, Connecticut, before transferring to Fryeburg Academy in Maine for his last two years of high school where he graduated in 1978. He met his wife, Lori Grau Bulluss, in 1981 and they married July 6, 1985. Their daughter, Stephanie Jude Bulluss, followed Dec. 31, 1987. Shortly after, they embarked on the biggest adventure of their lives and moved across country to Montana, where he discovered his passion for building. He established Bulluss Construction, and his legacy of houses can be seen in many neighborhoods throughout the Gallatin Valley.

Mike was the type of man that would help anyone that needed him. From fixing his daughter's car, to helping his friends with building projects, he was always just a phone call away. He was also an amazing confidant. Mike was wise beyond his years and was forever imparting invaluable advice to anyone in need. He was a compass for many, continuously pointing people in the right direction. He lived his life with respect and dignity, and he instilled those traits into everything he did.

Mike's one true love was his family. His wife, Lori, and he were an example to many on what it meant to be in a true, loving, committed relationship. Their love will far exceed the constraints of time and death. Mike's other true love was his only daughter and child, Stephanie, whom he loving nicknamed Stev. She was forever his baby girl and would do anything for her, and always did.

He was a man who loved to laugh, have beers with his buddies in his shop, and explore the vast outdoors. He was a man with a passion for life, and never let a day go by without living it to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Grau Bulluss; daughter, Stephanie Jude Bulluss and her soon-to-be husband, Matthew Paul Czifro; his aunt, Irene Hammler; and countless cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mary Mihalko and father, John James Bulluss.

A celebration of life with be held Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m. in his home. Public welcome. Please see official announcement for details.
