Charles Brunson Obituary
November 13, 1962 - May 17, 2021
Parrish, Florida - Charles F. Brunson, Jr., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 17, 2021. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles F. "Mickey" Brunson, Sr., and Bette Riley. Charles attended Eastern Kentucky University and moved to Bradenton, Florida to join his father and step-mother, Marian Brunson, in operating Suncoast Paint Center. Charles later owned and operated a home inspection company. He was an active and proud member of the Florida Association of Building Inspectors and was highly regarded within his profession. Preceding Charles in death were his father, Mickey Brunson and brothers; Mike Riley, Peter Riley and James Bryson. Charles is survived by his wife, Shelley; mother, Bette Riley; step-mother, Marian Brunson; daughters; Bethany Weber (Wes) and Charlotte Brunson; son, Cory Barker (Alexa); sisters; Amy Summers and Susan Bryson Speckert (Christopher), and sister-in-law, Deb Lindsey; brothers; Dr. Mark Riley (Jane), Pat Riley (Karen); grandchildren, loving aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Charles had such a love for life and people, he brought so much happiness and joy to everyone. His humor and laughter were infectious, and he will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. A Celebration of lLfe will be held at a later date.
