Obituary published on Legacy.com by Southern Utah Mortuary - Cedar City on Mar. 7, 2026.
Lenna Jean Winn Brunson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at All Seasons Senior Living in
Cedar City, Utah, on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her family she spent her life nurturing. Born on November 9, 1945, in
Richfield, Utah, Lenna spent her early childhood in Loss Creek before moving to Cedar City as a teenager. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ernest Kenney "Ken" Brunson. The two were married on October 12, 1963, in Cedar City, and their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Utah Temple.
Lenna was a pillar of the Cedar City community, serving for many years as a cook for the Iron County School District. Her leadership and dedication to service extended to the Fire Department Association Women's Auxiliary, where she served as President for a year. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she shared her testimony and kindness with many as a Sunday School teacher.
Lenna's hands were rarely still, as she was a passionate painter, crafter, and master of crochet and macramé. Whether she was creating "rock pets" with the kids or adding to her cherished collections of dolls and plates, she found beauty in the details of her work. Her happiest moments were spent outdoors camping or gathering with her family for reunions. Every Thanksgiving, her kitchen was filled with the warmth of her famous rolls, which she loved baking alongside her grandchildren. Above all, Lenna was a woman who loved deeply, always keeping her family in her thoughts and worries, and she will be remembered for her devotion to those she held dear.
Lenna is survived by her devoted husband, Ken Brunson; and her three sons: Robert "Kenney" Brunson (Monica) of
Enoch, UT; Jeff E. Brunson (JoAnn) of
Cedar City, UT; and Russel Brunson (Sonia) of
Enoch, UT. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Marissa (Ron), Alicia (Mason), Brantz (Kassidee), Kalee, Jacee (Christian), Katrina (Ben), and Trevor; as well as four great-grandchildren, with another precious one on the way. She will also be missed by her loyal dog, Rosie, who was her constant companion.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of All Seasons and Hospice, specifically Carisa Archuleta and Ethan Bunker, for the exceptional and tender care they provided to Lenna.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Heritage Park Ward (290 W. 1045 N.,
