Cynthia Cone Obituary
Born on September 15th, 1930, in Lakeland FL. Cynthia graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and later earned a Master's degree of Science from Nova Southeastern University. A dedicated educator, she taught Elementary school, grades 3 and 5 in Washington DC, Chicago, IL, Putnam Valley, NY and retired from a 23-year career at Prine Elementary School in Bradenton, FL. She was admired by her colleagues for her dedication, integrity, and love of children.
Cynthia was known for her friendly and vibrant spirit, her generosity and love of family. She enjoyed playing the piano and previously sang in the church choir and Sweet Adelines of Manatee. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents Arthur G. and Cynthia B. Bryant, brothers Arthur Jr, Henry, Hoyt and Robert Bryant, and sister Mattie Sutton. She is survived by son Philip Cone (Cathy), daughter Cynthia Mesger (Bruce), grand-daughter Tiffany Cone, nephews Fred Sutton, Carol Bryant, Rodney Bryant, Tab Bryant and niece Joan Bryant.
There will be a graveside service held at Roselawn Cemetery in Lakeland on Friday September 5th at 11 a.m. Lakeland Funeral Home is serving the family (www.lakelandfuneralhome.com).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cynthia B Cone's memory to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
