David Pearson Obituary
October 22, 1946 - November 18, 2023
Palmetto, Florida - David W. Pearson, age 77 passed away after a brief illness, with his devoted wife, Wendy and son, Dax at his side. A resident of Florida since 1983, he resided in Palmetto since 1994. David was born in Oil City, PA to Jack & Jeanne Pearson. Following graduation from Oil City HS in 1964, he earned a BS in Sociology in 1968 from Lycoming College. He served six years in the US Army Reserves. David enjoyed a 45 year career in commercial banking in Pennsylvania and Florida, retiring in 2015.
A life well invested, he found joy in spending time with his wife, son and grandchildren in the mountains, white water rafting and boating. He and Wendy loved their travels through Costa Rica and Panama fishing and enjoying the local culture. They also logged many miles together on their tandem bicycle.
A member of the First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, David was a dedicated member of the lay leadership team, serving as Finance Chairman and liturgist.
He is survived by Wendy J. Pearson, his wife of 36 years, son, Dax W. Pearson, grandchildren, Aidan, Zachary and Makenna and brother, Thomas B. Pearson. He is predeceased by his son, Tommy Pearson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Palmetto.

My condolences to Wendy, Dax and the Pearson Family. From the first time I walked into Dave's office, I knew I was going to be blessed by his presence for years to come. Dave's infectious smile and attitude will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace. God bless you Dave.
