Edward Henry Lucier

80, of Ellenton, Fl passed away December 27, 2015. Edward was born June 3, 1935 to Carl and Margaret Kelly in Worcester, MA. He attended and graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Worcester State College. Edward received his Master's Degree from Colgate University and studied at Holy Cross College and University of California~Berkley. He began his teaching career at St. Clair Shores, MI and later returned to MA where he taught at Leicester High School. He joined the staff of Becker College in 1963, where he was the head of the Science Department. Edward retired in 1995 and permanently relocated to Ellenton, Florida. July 12, 2002, he married Arthilla "Snooks" Riggleman. He spent the balance of his life in Florida and was a substitute teacher in the Manatee Public Schools. He enjoyed golfing, cribbage and bowling with his many friends.Edward is survived by his wife, Arthilla "Snooks" Lucier, of Palmetto, FL, daughters; Lynn (Allan) Bora, Nancy (Tim) Sanko, Karen (Jeff) Bercume, stepsons; Eric (Teresa) Sweetman, Rodney (Barb) Eckley, stepdaughters; Laura (Denver) Moore, Karis, (Jim) Meier, Melody Sweetman (Ralph Adamczyk), sister, Carolyn Gaudette, grandchildren, many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Lucier. Funeral services are being held in Massachusetts. He will be laid to rest in Worcester County Memorial Park.
