Bradenton, Florida - Hazel J. Burnett, of Bradenton, formally of Union Springs, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 15th 2024.
Hazel was a lifetime member of West Bradenton Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, being a part of the local Zonta Club and bowling.
She is survived by her 5 daughters; Joy McDowell (Terry), Nancy Vollick, Hazel "Deanie" Turlington (Jason), Donna Burnett and Lori Lee Reek (Todd), Her 15 grandchildren Paul McDowell, Kandiss Burnett Alvarino (Robby), Michelle Marquess (Robbie), April Lee Ashby (Dennis), Joshua McDowell (Andrea), Kristin Ackles (Robby), Cecelia Turlington (Mike), Sarah Turlington (Andrew), Byron Vollick (Lexi), Ashlee Vollick, Spencer Reek (Bianca), Jerome Reek (Amanda), Samantha Reek, and 15 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Tolliver MacDonald "Don" Burnett, grandchildren; Nikolas Reek and Robert E. Lee II "Bobby".
Visitation will be held Friday, December 20th from 5-7 pm at Shannon Funeral Home located at 1015 14th Street West, Bradenton Florida 34205.
The Celebration of Life will be Saturday December 21st at beginning at 11 am West Bradenton Baptist Church located at 1305 43rd Street West, Bradenton Florida 34209.
