So sorry and deep condolences. Just heard about your loss so apologies for the delay. Have not seen Chip in years, but remember so well when he received a major national USPTA award (an eagle on a stand) and stood in front of hundreds and said, "Back in Tennessee, we use these things as hood ornaments!" The crowd erupted in laughter and applause.

I hate that I didn't see Chip over the years very much based on him living in FL, but I was able to talk to him last year when he was in town, so I won't forget that. Even though he was 5 years older than me, when we were younger, he never treated me like some people do when there is an age difference. He was always glad to see you and would start up conversation. Prayers for the entire Brooks family.

I knew Chip through my nephew Joe Hunsader and my husband Paul Hunsader. Joe and Paul were a very good friend of Chips. After Joe died Chip would come over to the house and talk tennis.
