Jon Van Beuren Obituary

Jon B. Van Beuren
December 8, 1934 - November 1, 2021
Bradenton, Florida - Jon "Barry" Van Beuren married the love of his life in 1958. Renate and Barry were happily married until Renate's passing in May of 2021. They had three children and four grandchildren they loved and adored. Jon was a registered pharmacist for over 50 years and was always entrusted by family and friends to offer sound advice and cures for whatever ailed them. He especially took excellent care of Renate and was always loving and patient with her complex health challenges. He kept current with pharmacy and medication until the end of his life and impressed providers with his knowledge of medications and their interactions. He faithfully served in both the United States Army and Air Force. He dedicated many years as an officer on the Board of Shoreline I Homeowners Association. He and Renate were among the original owners at Perico Bay Club and their historical knowledge will be missed. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time together, hiking, camping and at the beach or lake. He also was an avid reader and excellent writer. Always a fan of good beer, Jon especially enjoyed visiting the AMI Moose Lodge and Motorworks Brewery. Known by both Jon and Barry, he was a devoted husband and father. He often said he and Renate were "joined at the hip" and her passing in May left a void that couldn't be filled. Jon was predeceased by his sister Nancy and his brother Harry. He is survived by brother Martin (Marlene) Van Beuren, daughter Tammy Cosgrove, sons Barry (Diana) Van Beuren and David Van Beuren, granddaughter Christina (Kurt) Wickham and grandsons, John (Rachel) Van Beuren, Joshua and Kenneth. Jon's wishes were for no cards, flowers or services of any kind. Arrangements by All Veterans-All Families Funerals & Cremations.
